I got a new business idea today. Of course I won’t talk about it right now. But what it reminded me of how the easy they can come. Mine happen this morning, after days of reading and testing out a software package. But the package isn’t the trick, it is the model that uses it. Again not the point here.

I remember watching a TV channel, it could have been “Fox and Friends”, “today show” or “CNBC”. It doesn’t matter. But what I took from the interview is how ideas come to you. Some the truly great ones. This mostly happen when you are most relaxed. Some examples of this:

First waking up in the morning from a really restful sleep. Now I didn’t have a restful night so I am a bit surprise I was relaxed. But I was.

In the shower, the calming nature of the water hitting your head, steam around you. You and your thoughts. I solved a lot of issues that have plagued me through out my career. I have one of those raindrop shower heads. Love it.

The other place next to your shower. I won’t go into details cause well I don’t want to. But it is a place you are truly alone and most people don’t try and bother you there. But your mind isn’t as distracted and it can rush through the day and previous days events quickly. 

Taking a break from work and stepping outside for a breath of air. Hopefully fresh depending on the city you live in. I do this when I am working in closed rooms without windows. Living near the beach we like being able to see the outdoors.

After that it up to you and get those idea written down to review an build. Then comb over to see if it works.

With my new MacBook Pro 17″ I am having more fun with the CAC card. As usual Keychain Access is freezing every time I try to use it while the card is in. It does see the card, but when I try to click from Login to System or back to my CAC option it just sits there. All the Root Certs are on the system. So it shouldn’t have an issue with verifying the Certs. I am wondering if something changed yet again after an Apple update. I am running 10.5.2, thought they finally fixed the CAC issue with their version of their smartcard software. I am getting tired of the one set forward and two sets back. With the smartcard support.

My new macBook Pro has arrived. After a quick mental break on migrating data from my current Pro. I was back up and running Saturday morning. I ended up setting up the same account name first then did a firewire copy. Was so excited to see it. Anyway, old CD rebuild later and the copy while sleeping I was back up and running. Then a quick update of all software I was back up and running.

It really is bad ass! and so freaking quick. Here is the configuration:

On March 25, 2009 I asked Juli to marry me! She said yes! And of course I asked her dad! 

Asking Juli’s dad was never in question, but what I didn’t want to do was ask over the phone. I wanted to wait to see him in person, but hiding the ring in the house was not an option. Plus Juli had an idea I was getting something. So of course she did what she does, ATTACKS. And tries to find what I was hiding. I also told her I wasn’t going to ask her till I talked to her dad. She picked up the phone and called. I told her father why I was calling and thanked me for asking him. “We are very fond of you”, my response so me, “Thank you but that isn’t a yes”. I know so me. Then after I was done talking she ran in to the bedroom. Hiding under the blankets I an ran into the room and popped the question. Any here is a picture of Juli after I gave her they ring.

I am pretty sure she is happy.  :)

I sold my 2004 Triumph 955I, with 2800+ miles on it.

 I really liked that bike, balance was amazing. It give the speed you needed to have fun and you knew it have a little extra give you when you needed it. It was the fastest bike in the class, but it was I think the most level headed. Which I needed since I have no desire to have a common bike. I didn’t buy it because it the fastest, most expensive or had the most aftermarket parts. I got it cause it was an uncommon bike and had two head likes that worked. Not only one for normal riding, that configuration is not my thing. I actually hate that look.

It was a great bike, but I couldn’t deal with rising a cafe style ride anymore. I moved onto a Harley Davidson.

My girl friend moved in last Monday and we brought her cats(baby kitten, big kitten) down to the house. Right now they are in a separate area of the house. It is about the same size as the coop she was living in. First 24hrs Juli was nervous, But the cats calmed down. My cat (spike), has had the rest of the house. We have been splitting the night sleeping down stairs and up stairs since since the three are used to sleeping with one of us. Some nights I just sleep up stairs with spike. We also blocked the doors with books so they can’t put there paws under the door. Reason for this is, Spike is not declawed and Juli’s two cats are. So there is a real worry there. So we are trying to get everyone used to each others smells. This weekend we are going to switch the cats around and spike will get the downstairs and the kittens will get the upstairs. After that is cat gate so they can see each other.
