Customer Service

As every company in business knows customer service is important. As every business knows to stay in business you need great products and great customer service. You can’t only have one.

Yesterday I headed out on my errand run. I needed a new Filing cabinet for my office. I have decided to work on my organizational skills. I made short stop at my local Best Buy(On Twitter @eatontownbb). I picked up a powermat charger for Juli’s cell phone and a few DVD’s(Blu-Ray) I wanted to watch. As I was walking out, the gentleman in front of me commented to his three children(1 Son, 2 daughters).

“I really like this Best Buy, I was get good service and they have good people working here.” The son nodded to his dad. I have to agree, as my friends know me. I love Best Buy. It is clean, organized and I have never met a rude person working there.

By contrast, on my second stop of the Staples.

I went there to pick up my file cabinet. I walked to the back to look at their section. I was looking for a sturdy cabinet as the one I had was cheap and won’t hold the hanging files. I wasn’t going to make that mistake again. So I found the cabinet I wanted wide low and sturdy. It was not a one person lift. I went up front to find someone to help with. They box clearly said “Team Lift”. I showed the gentleman the one I wanted. He then asked me where my cart was. I looked at for a second and said, “You can’t fit that in your plastic shopping cart. It is to big and to heavy to lift that high. Do you have a cart?”, his response “Yea let me find one.” After returning with the cart, he helped me slide the box on the cart and he wheeled it to the front. After I paid for it. I had the pleasure of having been left to figure out a way to “Team Lift” this box by myself into the trunk of my car.

In ending I would like to thank Staples for a nice a nice file cabinet. I would also like to thank them for allowing me to “Team Lift” by myself into my trunk where I jammed my finger. It hurt like hell, but I am fine. Now I should say the cashiers were very nice and I even got a hello and smile as returned the the cart. As for the gentleman who helped me. I am sure you didn’t want to lift yourself, neither did I. We could have “Team Lifted” it.
